It’s in our DNA; Farah know how to make trousers. Founded in Texas 1920, originally, we made workwear, so we know a thing or two about durability and well-constructed clothing.
From factories to frontline, Farah was re-born in the UK during the 1970s as our signature Hopsack canvas trouser became an iconic aesthetic for subcultures that would forever shape British menswear; the Mods and Rude Boys, Casuals and 90s Indie Kids, each style tribe adopting our Farah-press trousers as their own.
Connecting the past to the present and together with a series of influential artists, activists and change makers, Farah // The Original Trouser Company continues to authentically execute what we know best; signature pieces, designed for the modern man to confidently curate their own individual style and story.
OUR ARCHIVE
With an acting career that began at 19 in BBC drama Mayday, alongside Sophie Okonedo and Leslie Manville, Charley quietly crept from TV to the big screen starring in feature film Legend with Tom Hardy playing the infamous Kray twins. A filmic flurry commenced with roles in Dunkirk, Darkest Hour and Beast, to name but a few.
His latest transition sees a total departure from the medium of acting into the world of music with Truman. It is here that Charley transforms into what feels like his most expressive role yet; a generational voice of modern masculinity with all its ugly truths and unjust vilifications unearthed. A deep-thinking rapper and story-teller; Truman is not pop but his music is universally innate.
His latest track ‘Charley Boy’ was awarded Best Video Performance at the Video Music awards alongside Lil Simz, Bakar and The Blaze.

I inherited an eye for colour from my Nan; not too flash but a splash of something. She remembers Farah well and how everyone would wear the brand.

As one of the most respected and revered British artists of his generation, Hak Baker paints a picture of inner city London life through his poetic lyricism with tales that climb the spectrum between youthful nihilism and male vulnerability.
In understanding that within the personal, lives the political, Hak’s story began on the Isle of Dogs where his working-class community became his muse and inspired an unconventional, rebellious career. With fans spanning culture and genre, from Celeste to Mike Skinner, Hak’s fan base identify as ‘MisFits’ - like-minded individuals who question the status quo and celebrate his anti-genre, ‘G-Folk’ sound.
Culturally sitting as comfortably beside the likes of Madness, The Specials and Benjamin Zephaniah, as he does The Streets, Kano, Akala and Greentea Peng, Hak Baker’s repertoire transcends genre, with his raw, unfiltered and authentic voice at the core of everything he does.

Collaborating with Farah allows me to explore the cultural significance of my personal style - an amalgamation of Streetwear, East London Rude Boy, Football Casual and traditional British tailoring. Mixing these subcultural styles with influences from my Caribbean heritage and East End home creates homage to my black history and is always representative and identifiable in the ways that I dress.
